and 4 children. Signed as "D.P. McCorcle". He died on 8 Jul 1963 in
Colorado City, Mitchell County, Texas. Dean died suddenly of a stroke.

most of his life in or near Colorado City. His mother died when he was about
ten years old. Because it was difficult to work and manage the children, their
father was unable to keep the family together. The younger children were put
into foster homes. Dean first lived with Mr. and Mrs. Jeters. His memories of
his time with the Jeter family was very unpleasant. Later he lived with the W.
T. Willis family in Snyder, Texas. When they moved, he moved with them to Content,
near Abilene, Texas. The Willis family was a very large family and Dean had very
fond memories of his days with them.
Dean Phenix MCCORCLE and Hattie Perpie BELYEU were married on 29
Aug 1909 in Midway, Coleman, Texas.89
They were married by Grandpa Mitchell. Witnesses were Essie Belyeu and Wade
Willis. Hattie Perpie BELYEU (daughter of Robert Benton
BELYEU and Sarah Elizabeth LUSK) was born on 14 Aug 1891 in Georgetown, Williamson
County, Texas.90 She died
on 28 Dec 1962 in Colorado City, Mitchell County, Texas. Hattie died
after a long battle with cancer. She was buried on 30 Dec 1962 in Colorado City,
