Medical Board examination in 1873. Started his practice at Sugar Loaf, Coryell,
Texas. In 1892, he moved to Killeen where his practice covered a radius of 15
miles. He was Killeen's first doctor. He died in Killeen, Bell, TX.60 Whipple was killed in a scuffle with the local sheriff
of Killeen. Whipple was reportedly drinking and the sheriff was new to the job.
Details seem to be controversial. Descendants of Whipple's first and second
families are still very isolated today even though some of them live in and around
Bell County and attended same schools. He was buried in Killeen, Bell, TX.
Whipple is buried in the main cemetery at Killeen, located on Ranier St. His
first wife is buried there in a different plot. His second wife is buried in
the Blackburn Cemetery about 2 miles NE of Killeen. Burial Information: Personal

Mary Ann CHAMBERS) was born on 6 May 1866. She died on 28 Oct 1956
in Killeen, Bell County, Texas. She was buried in Blackburn Cemetery,
Killeen, Bell County, Texas.63
