Archibald MCCORKLE^6,9 was born on 30 Mar 1758 in Pennsylvania.^5,6,9 He died after 1834 in Mecklenburg County, NC.⁹ His pension application states that "he removed from Pennsylvania when he was about 6 or 7 years of age to the State of North Carolina and settled in the County of Mecklenburg where he resided ever since." He also stated in this affidavit in 1834 "that his age is recorded in his father's family bible which is now in the possession of his brother, Matthew McCorkle."

Archibald MCCORKLE and Nicey BELK were married.
